HISTORY

1998 AIRSEP NIGERIA WAS FOUNDED
In March, 1998 Air Separation Nigeria Limited (ASNL) began its journey with the official commissioning of its Industrial and Medical Oxygen production factory/head office in the Ogba Industrial Estate, Ikeja, Lagos. This production facility employs the use of the renowned AirSep Corporation USA, Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology for on-site oxygen production.
Our principal, AirSep Corporation, located in Buffalo, New York is the proven leader in the production of Oxygen Generating Systems (On-site plants/Oxygen Concentrators) using the PSA technology. AirSep oxygen systems have been proven to be reliable, robust, easy to maintain and cost efficient.
With a relatively small production output in 1998, ASNL soon discovered the need to expand its production output to meet the growing demand for its product. Thus, in 1999, the production output was tripled in Lagos to meet this demand.

2001 PRODUCTION FACTORY FOUNDED IN JOS
In partial fulfillment of our mission statement, we were determined to expand to the northern region of Nigeria to provide customers in this region with the same access to good quality oxygen gas and reliable services. With the investment decision taken in year 1999 and financial commitments made, a production factory/office was established in Jos, Plateau State in year 2001.
In 2013, ASNL relocated to its newly constructed manufacturing facility along Vom Road in Jos Plateau State from where it now operates its newly installed Airseparation cryogenic plant producing liquid and gaseous Oxygen and Nitrogen.
Our presence in the southern and northern parts of the country has given us a vantage position to rightly appraise the industrial and medical gases market with its peculiarities.
In year 2013 considerable investment was made in installing an Argon Pump station in Lagos. We import high purity Argon in our Iso Tank and refill various sizes of cylinders.

2013 – BECOME THE LEADING
Today AirSeparation produces and sells; Industrial and Medical Oxygen (99.8% purity), Nitrogen (Liquid and Gas – 99.99% purity), Argon gas (99.9995% purity), Acetylene, Nitrous Oxide, Special Gas Mixtures (On request).
In year 2003, ASNL, teaming with trusted persons, invested equity in the establishment of an oxygen gas production plant in Kaduna State and in year 2004 went into a joint venture investment with the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH). These strategic investments further improved our insights into the industrial gases market.
The UMTH venture provided the platform to launch into the medical equipment supply and maintenance market. Before this joint venture, oxygen gas supplies to UMTH had been a painful task. Long distances were travelled to get supplies and supplies were fraught with uncertainties. The UMTH success story led to remarkable strides in installing such plants in other hospitals.
Today, ASNL has successfully installed over Forty (40) AirSep on-site Oxygen Cylinder Refill plants in some of the leading Teaching Hospitals and tertiary medical institutions spread across the nation. ASNL’s team of competent engineers and technicians ably maintain these plants. These successes have made Air Separation Nigeria Limited the proven leader in the supply and maintenance of on-site Oxygen Cylinder Refill plants in Nigeria.
Our foray into the medical/healthcare industry necessitated the need to identify and team up with reputable Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) in Europe and America. ASNL is the authorized representative of Airsep Corporation (A member of Caire Inc) USA, Medicop d.o.o Slovenia and Hamilton medical, Switzerland.
We have successfully supplied reputable medical institutions such as Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Idi – Araba, Lagos, University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Nsuka and Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital (OAUTH), Ile-Ife, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) with Hamilton Ventilators.
Also, in collaboration with our Principal, Medicop in Slovenia, we have been able to develop expertise in medical gases piping systems. Two of our personnel that have been certified as HTM02:01 Authorized Persons.

2020 – PIONEERING INSTALLATION OF MEDICAL GAS PIPING
We have successfully installed the medical gas piping works at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) permanent site, Federal Medical Centre, Birni Kebbi, Federal Medical Centre, Yola, Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), National Hospital Trauma Centre, Cancer Centre and New Children Wards, University of Abuja Teaching Hospital Trauma Centre, the newly constructed 30 bed ICU at LUTH, amongst others.
